Titanium Grade 2 can be forged using different techniques, such as hot and cold forging, rolling, or extrusion. Forging is a process that involves heating & shaping the metal by compressing it under high pressure to improve its strength, ductility, & toughness. Titanium Grade 2 is typically forged between a temperature range of 815 to 900°C. Controlled heating and cooling processes during heat treatment enhance its properties. Although it is considered less favourable than other metals in machinability, material 3.7035 exhibits good weldability, making it suitable for various welding applications.
